As a communications consultant, Valeri counsels and trains people to become more compelling speakers. Using her skills as a former reporter and lawyer, she works with clients to help them become as effective and persuasive as possible in a variety of settings including media interviews, formal presentations, meetings, and courtroom appearances.
Valeri has prepared dozens of seminars on topics including crisis communications, basic media training, persuasive speaking, customer service, and promoting a business. She also directs and produces message driven videos for broadcast and professional use. Her client list is varied and includes high level executives from both corporate and non-profit organizations, politicians, school districts, and public relations personnel. She has been a senior consultant with Burges & Burges Strategists for over ten years.
EXPERIENCE
Valeri is currently an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University Law School teaching a course in leadership and communication skills and serves on several boards and organizational committees. Prior to, Valeri was an anchor/reporter in the broadcast media for over 18 years, working in Los Angeles, Syracuse, New York, and Connecticut in both television and radio and, most recently, at FOX 8 in Cleveland, Ohio.

EDUCATION
She is a graduate of Syracuse, University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and holds a JD from Case Western Reserve University Law School. She practiced at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey in Cleveland, Ohio specializing in labor and employment law.
