Brandon’s strong background in journalism and resource development helps him provide consulting for school districts, candidate and issue campaigns, health and human service providers, community development corporations, and other clients. His responsibilities include:
Crafting scripts, surveys, press releases, e-newsletters, brochures, social media content, and other communications that engage and persuade existing or desired audiences.
Conducting field research that helps shape messages for digital, print, and multimedia products.
Helping clients develop and execute school attendance campaigns, virtual events, membership drives, and other initiatives specific to their industries and communities.
Prior to joining Burges & Burges Strategists in 2018, Brandon spent four years as United Way of Lake County’s Resource Development Manager after nearly a decade as a reporter and editor at The News-Herald, AOL Patch, and EcoWatch. Brandon has always stayed busy outside of full-time work as a freelance journalist and editor for publications like FreshWater Cleveland and The Morning Journal. He also works on the Scoreboard Operations team at Cleveland Browns home games.
Brandon graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University with
a focus in Public Affairs Journalism and African and African-American Studies.
